We are delighted that the sixth form at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy has received a certificate for the outstanding progress of its a-level performance.
The certificate is recognised by both the Department for Education and Ofsted and was given by the Alps student-centered aspirational tracking system for progression and achievement.
Alps analysed 2,580 schools and colleges’ A-level examination results from over the period of 2013-16. The analysis showed that DACA has achieved and maintained a consistently high level of performance in it’s A-level results for three years and is in the top 25 per cent of A-level providers in the country.
Howard McWilliam, Assistant Principal, said “This is a fantastic achievement and richly deserved by the sixth form students and staff at the academy due to all of their hard work and determination to succeed. We work very hard to ensure the highest levels of teaching and learning and pastoral care in order to maximise the quality of each and every student’s experience.”
