Preparing Young People For Tomorrow’s Challenges

Date: May 4th 2017

The future world of work is a hotly debated subject. Last year, the Governor of the Bank of England said, “The world is in the midst of a technological revolution that is once again changing the nature of work.” He went on to say that as many as 15m jobs will be replaced by robots. A recent US Department of Labor report stated, “65 per cent of today’s schoolchildren will eventually be employed in jobs that have yet to be created” and the CBI’s latest skills report said, “69 per cent of businesses are not confident that there will be enough people available in the future with the right skills.”

Sir Rod was recently asked to contribute an article to MyAcademy Magazine  on helping young people develop the skills they will need.
