Principal Designate for proposed Portslade Academy named

Stuart McLaughlin

Stuart McLaughlin will be the Principal Designate of the proposed new Academy in Portslade, if the project is given the go-ahead by the Government and Brighton Council’s Cabinet.

In a letter to the Governors of the Portslade Community College, Rod Aldridge, Chairman of The Aldridge Foundation which would sponsor the Academy, said:

“Since Stuart joined Portslade Community College in 2009, he has worked incredibly hard to begin the process of turning the school around. He is putting in place an excellent and ambitious plan to raise education standards at PCC. The recent consultation process proved to me the respect and widespread support Stuart enjoys amongst the school community.”
