Rob Andrew Praises Aldridge Support For Community Cricket Development

Date: November 14th 2017

Former England Rugby international and now Sussex County Cricket Club chief executive Rob Andrew has publicly thanks Sir Rod for his support for the development of cricket in Sussex. He also praised the development of the Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, and the role it is playing in the growth of Women and Girls cricket in the county.

Speaking in an end of season interview Andrew said that the centre was “a phenomenal facility that’s now the home of Sussex Women’s cricket”. As well as being a facility for the BACA students, particularly those in the Aldridge Cricket Academy sixth-form course, the £1.8m centre, which was funded by charitable donation, is also a community resource, being home to Portslade Cricket Club and used by local primary schools.
