Sussex Professionals Train At Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre

Date: February 17th 2017

This week, while students from the Aldridge Cricket Academy squad has been on tour in Dubai, and home base Brighton Aldridge Community Academy is on half term, the professionals of Sussex County Cricket Club 1st Eleven and academy squads have been in pre-season training at the Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre.

The £1.8m centre, funded by private sponsorship, was opened last year by former England Captain Charlotte Edwards. As well as being the main facility for the ACA it is also a base for Sussex Women’s Cricket, a satellite for the Sussex Cricket Academy and Emerging Players Programme, and becoming a community centre for local residents and primary schools.
