Administrator - £14,000
The Aldridge
Foundation is a lively team based in modern, well-equipped offices just off The
Strand in central London. Due to the growth of the work of the Foundation, an
administrator is now sought, reporting to the Head of Foundation Affairs, providing
general support to the senior staff of the Foundation.
Duties will
include:
- General, basic administration (printing, photocopying, binding,
etc)
- Greeting visitors and providing refreshments, covering
telephones
- Using and maintaining a complex filing system
- Regular updating of a contact management system
- Making travel bookings
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post and
deliveries
- Assisting in maintaining a professional office
environment
- Helping to set up meeting rooms
This would be a fantastic opportunity for a school leaver, with good A-Level results, and GCSE Maths and English C grade or above (or suitable equivalents) who is looking for an opportunity to learn about office procedures. (Whilst the individual will receive mentoring, some relevant work experience, potentially taken through school programmes, is essential.) Alternatively, this role may suit someone with a solid background in administration. A typing speed of 40 wpm and an intermediate level of knowledge of the MS Office suite of packages is also essential. Most important is a flexible, can-do attitude, and an organised approach to work. The role will suit someone with a genuine interest in administration, and whilst an interest in our work is highly desirable, is unlikely to lead to a policy-based role.
