Brendan Loughran, Principal

Brendan Loughran (45) is Principal of Darwen Aldridge Community Academy.  Previously, he was head teacher at Westhoughton High School and Technology College in Bolton for four years where he established a reputation for turning his previous school around. Between 2003 and 2006 the number of pupils gaining five GCSEs A to C rose consistently from 37% to 52%. This record of success is coupled with his commitment to developing the Academy to deliver a first class education for Darwen children.
