Rod Aldridge

Rod Aldridge is an entrepreneur with over 40 years experience of working in the public and private sectors.
He is the founder of the Capita Group retiring in July 2006 as Chairman. Subsequently he established The Aldridge Foundation to continue his work on public service reform and to focus on his charitable activities.
Community Engagement
The Foundation supports a number of community engagement projects as part of a holistic approach to its commitment to reducing the educational underachievement and social exclusion of young people.
By supporting community engagement The Foundation aims to develop practical solutions to the educational underachievement and social exclusion of young people, bringing benefits to the community at large by, for example, reducing anti-social behaviour.
Rod Aldridge is chairman of both The Lowry arts venue in Salford, which has an number of active community outreach projects, and the youth volunteering charity, v, which aims to encourage a million new young volunteers, giving them a sense of social and community responsibility.
