Public Service Reform - Partnership and Development
Rod Aldridge is an entrepreneur with over 40 years experience of working in the public and private sectors.
Rod worked in local government for 10 years with East Sussex County Council, Brighton Borough Council, Crawley District Group and West Sussex County Council, joining CIPFA in 1974 ultimately becoming its Technical Director.
Subsequently, he founded the Capita Group and led the group from its formation in 1984 to becoming the market leading provider of support and professional services to the government and to the private sector in the UK.
Following his retirement from the Capita Group Rod continues to seek practical solutions to removing the barriers to public service reform, promoting effective partnerships between the public, private and third sectors.
Consequently, The Foundation is sponsoring a new research centre in Birmingham University, conducts research and produces policy papers itself, and Rod continues to speak, using his wealth of experience, contributing to the debate on public service reform.
