Sport Specialism
Both of The Aldridge Foundation Academies are offering sport as their second specialism, and development work on this is currently underway, to ensure that the best provision can be offered both to the students of the Academies and to the wider community.
The specialism will cater for all abilities and the varying ages of our students. The offer will provide opportunities for participation through to excellence, and will include a diverse range of activities including our Essentially Dance model. There will be an emphasis on student voice, ensuring that our offer meets the expectations and ambitions of students.
In addition, a strong leadership, volunteering and vocational emphasis will be embedded. Students will be encouraged to take part in mentoring activities within feeder primaries, and the Aspire 2 B careers model will also look at vocational sports related careers advice.
