My position in a nutshell… I am responsible for making sure as many people as possible know that the show is coming to the area. I work with newspapers, radio stations, TV, social media influences and celebrities, to encourage them to talk about the show to their audiences and promote it on our behalf.

What are the key skills/attributes needed in your role…You need to know what interests people, what gets their attention, what their listeners or viewers want to know about and you need to get all of that information into a short, concise brief.

Advice for someone looking to go into a similar role…Do your research, you need to know who you a pitching to and what they need – do they need visuals, do they need audio. You need to be as helpful as possible, answering queries quickly and be a very friendly face.
